Hello, I'm Ruth

Supporting Women With Knowledge, Compassion & Gentle Care

My journey into women's wellbeing began in Germany, where I completed my three-year Diploma of Midwifery at the University Clinic Heidelberg in March 2007.

I went on to work as a private midwife, supporting women and their families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period until October 2011.

That year, I travelled to Australia with plans to work and explore. Along the way, I met my husband, fell in love and decided to make Australia my home. After traveling around Australia together, we decided to settle on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, close to my husband’s family as we welcomed our three amazing children into the world.

Although life took me across the world, my connection to midwifery and my passion for supporting women never left me.

During extended stays in Germany between October 2019 and October 2022, and again from June 2025 to March 2026, I returned to clinical midwifery, working in the birth suite at Klinikum Aschaffenburg, a Level 6 hospital.

These experiences have continued to deepen my knowledge, understanding and respect for the extraordinary female body. My experiences in the birthspace showed me how much difference the preparation through bodywork can make for a woman in labour. Upon our return to Australia I decided to pour my passion/ love? Into the services I offer at Peninsula Pelvic Wellbeing.

A Gentle Approach to Women's Wellbeing

I believe every woman deserves to feel safe, respected and supported in her body.

Our bodies carry so much: the physical changes of pregnancy and birth, the effects of surgery and scarring, the demands of everyday life and the experiences that shape us along the way.

Through gentle, intentional touch, breathing and body awareness, I offer a space where you can slow down, reconnect and explore what your body needs.

My approach is always guided by you, your boundaries and your body's wisdom.

I bring my professional experience, my loving care and my utmost respect to every woman I have the honour of meeting.

In October 2026, I completed the first round of the G.Lorri Method™ Practitioner Certification in Melbourne, learning directly from the wonderful Gabrielle Brennan.

I am incredibly grateful to have learned these specialised techniques and excited to bring them into my work supporting women through pregnancy, birth preparation and recovery.

I have also had the privilege of learning Internal Pelvic Release Work from Fiona Hallinan, whose wisdom and ongoing mentorship continue to inspire me.

At the heart of this work is something I deeply believe in: women caring for women, creating space to feel held, supported and able to let go.
